The Twin Mountain and Potomac Railroad

The Twin Mountain and Potomac Railroad was a narrow gauge railroad that operated in West Virginia from 1911 to 1919. It was built to haul fruit from Twin Mountain Orchards to Keyser, where it was transferred to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. The railroad was 26.6 miles long and had a gauge of 3 feet. It had two steam locomotives, #1 and #2, and a few freight cars. The railroad was abandoned in 1919 due to financial difficulties.
